Virginia Lautaret was born and raised in Maryville, Missouri where she attended Northwest Missouri State University. She began working in the insurance industry in 1975 at an independent insurance agency in St. Joseph, where she became a licensed agent in 1983. She moved to Kimberling City in 1984 and soon thereafter began her career with Akers & Arney. In 1988, she achieved her CISR designation, and for the next 9 years, operated the Kimberling City branch until the office was moved to the Akers & Arney corporate location in 1996. Virginia has been with Akers & Arney over 25 years, making her the agency’s most senior employee, next to Edd Akers.
