The Branson Auto Museum and Time Out Sports Bar & Grill hosted a 1950s-era sock hop to benefit the Boys & Girls Club of the Ozarks on Saturday, April 10, 2010. The public was invited to go “Dancing With the Cars” and enjoy live music by Lain’z Hot Rod Gang and complimentary car hop cuisine catered by Fuddruckers. Prizes were awarded for best 1950s costume and for hula hooping.
Guests experienced the nostalgia of an old fashioned rock ‘n’ roll sock hop as they mix and mingle among more than 100 cool cars on display inside the Branson Auto Museum while supporting local after-school, summer and outreach programs provided by the Boys & Girls Club of the Ozarks.
“We are extremely grateful to everyone who donated their time and resources to make this event possible,” said Boys & Girls Club of the Ozarks Executive Director Autumn Page. “The proceeds raised at Dancing With the Cars will provide much needed funds for our local Clubs.”
Event sponsors to date include the TITANIC Museum Attraction, Ozark Mountain Bank, Branson Auto Museum, Time Out Sports Bar & Grill, Branson Bank, Tom Boyce Excavating, Inc., Akers & Arney, Great Southern Bank and others.
