Ambassador of the Year Jonas Arjes

The Branson Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce and Convention & Bureau 63rd annual Black Tie bash “A Golden Celebration” was just that as more than 500 members and guests attended the event at Chateau on the Lake Saturday, February 20th, 2010.

The annual event showcased members of the chamber who do more than is called for to better the community they live in and honors those who work hard to make sure the region is prosperous.

In this year’s ceremony, the Titanic Museum was honored with the award for Small Business of the Year and Tantone Industries was named Charity of the Year.

Also awarded during the event: Jonas Arjes won the Jim Langham Ambassador Award; Keith and Karen Jaspers received the Bob McDowell Humanitarian Award; Jack and Peter Herschend received the Special Recognition Award; and Glenna and Larry Frazier were honored with the Care for Kids Award.

Christopher Welch received the Community Spirit Award and was surprised with a visit from his parents; Fred Hansen, with Hansen’s Tree Service, was honored with the Beautification Award.
