Amber was born in Ogden, Utah and raised in Wyoming. She moved to Branson to attend College of the Ozarks and graduated in 1999 with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Sociology. After college she obtained her Certified Insurance Service Representative designation and worked as a personal lines agent for five years. She is happy to be back in the insurance industry and excited to work for Akers & Arney Insurance.

David began his career in the communications industry in 1975 as Development Director for a Springfield, Missouri television station, and later became Advertising Manager for a daily newspaper. David changed to the banking field in 1979 where he served as Vice President and Head of Marketing for 8 years.

David began his insurance career in 1987, and is a licensed Agent and Broker in all lines. He has continued his education by attending hundreds of hours of continuing education and professional designation courses. David is a highly visible member of the Branson community and has served as President of several organizations. David’s experience in business management, his marketing skills, and knowledge of the insurance industry are invaluable assets to the company.

Edd has served as the vice-president, treasurer, and as a member of the Board of Directors for the Independent Agents of Missouri. He has been a member of the company advisory boards for Aetna, Allstate, Columbia, General Accident, St. Paul and Transamerica. He was also a member of the Missouri Association of Independent Agents Task Force (MAIA) to restore public confidence in the insurance industry, and served as a member of the MAIA public relations committee.

In addition to his active role in the insurance industry, Edd maintains a personal commitment to serving his community. He is a member of the Board of Directors for Ozark Mountain Bank; member and chairman of Physician Hospital Organization (PHO); board member of Lives Under Construction Boys Ranch; advisory board member for Church Army; chairman of the Branson Lakes Area Tax Enhancement District; member and treasurer of the Taney Economic Partners Corporation (TEPCOR); member of the Advisory Board for the Taneyhills Library Club, and active member of the Branson/Hollister Rotary Club.

Edd has a deep sense of pride in his community. His years of experience in the insurance industry, coupled with his dedication to community service, has helped make the Branson/Lakes Area a great place to live and work.

John currently manages the Benefits and Financial Services Departments. He is an Account Executive licensed in property and casualty as well as life and health, and has earned the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation. John has been voted Outstanding Young Agent of Missouri by the Missouri Association of Independent Agents.
